AM session –   Clinical Leadership in a changing NHS

Suitable for all specialty trainees. Trainers are welcome.

There is no doubt that the NHS is changing and the government is keen to have good clinical leaders to deliver their agenda for the better future of the NHS. The main aim of this session is to give an insight into what good leadership is and how to lead changes rather than being led. Specific objectives are: 

• Understand what people look for from leaders in times of change.
• Identify the opportunities of change.
• Be aware of strategies to cope with an uncertain future.

We have four prominent speakers for this session:

• Mrs Elizabeth Jones – Dean of Postgraduate Dean of Dentistry
• Professor Elizabeth Paice – previous Dean Director of London Deanery
• Mr Anthony Pearson – lay chair for London Deanery
• Dr Ellie Day – Darzi fellowship trainee

PM session -    ISFE workshop on critical appraisal

Suitable for senior trainees about to sit the ISFE examination

The aim of this workshop is to help senior trainees preparing for the critical appraisal part of their ISFE. It will be an interactive session led by Dr Darbar who is one of the ISFE examiners in Restorative Dentistry.
