Junior doctors relocation and associated expenses

From 1 April 2009

London Deanery is going to administer and fund the relocation and associated expenses such as excess travel for all junior doctors on London training programmes in primary and secondary care, with effect from 1 April 2009. Until that date, trainees must continue to submit their claims to their employer.

The London Deanery is developing its policies and associated paperwork and these will be on the website in the following weeks, so please check periodically.The Deanery will be basing its practices on those encapsulated in the NHS Employers’ document Removal and associated expenses guidance for doctors in training.

The Deanery’s objective will be the timely reimbursement of a trainee’s full verified entitlement to expenses. However, before incurring any expense for which you anticipate submitting a claim to the Deanery, please contact us first for authorisation in advance:
