School of Surgery is shortlisted for BMJ Group Awards

London Deanery School of Surgery has been shortlisted for the BMJ Group Awards which aim to recognise individual initiatives that demonstrate outstanding and measurable contributions to health care.
The School of Surgery has been recognised for developing and delivering anatomical teaching to its Core Surgical Trainees through an innovative course. The initiative was identified for offering the highest quality cadaveric and radiological anatomical teaching for surgical trainees. It is seen to represent an innovative collaboration between the School of Surgery, London Deanery, the Strategic Health Authority (NHS London), the Royal College of Surgeons of England, the five London medical schools and all the London Trusts offering core surgical training.
The inaugural BMJ Group Awards ceremony will take place on April 2, 2009.
