The deadline for requests for all Inter-Deanery Transfers (IDTs) for trainees who wish to transfer out of the London Deanery is Friday 16 December 2011.

London Deanery trainees who would like to request a transfer to another Deanery are asked to submit their completed documentation as early as possible.   All requests must be submitted on the application form. 

To apply you will need to send the following:

• Your completed application form, signed by the relevant Training Programme Director
• A copy of the latest ARCP/RITA outcome form
• An up to date CV

Any requests received after 16 December 2011 will not be considered until the October 2012 transfer window.

Trainees in Primary Care who wish to transfer from other Deaneries into the London Deanery  GP School should note that IDTs will not be sanctioned where there is 6 months or less whole time equivalent (WTE) of a programme left to run.  This is because the short nature of the programme concentrates Work Placed Based Assessments and other formal assessments in the third year, usually in the second part. Adding these pressures to those underlying an IDT request generally renders progress unsustainable, when taken with the need to familiarise with a new learning environment and possibly moving house.
