Psychiatry is an extremely satisfying and enjoyable specialty. The work consists of assessing and treating patients with a range of mental illnesses. In the words of one trainee, 'I have worked in lots of interesting places including acute in-patient wards, at Broadmoor Hospital and in psychiatric liaison teams in A&E.'
