The Careers Unit offers each London trust three workshops which are run locally within trusts. The workshops are facilitated by medical specialist colleagues from the University of London Careers Service. 

If your Education Centre has not scheduled any workshops, ask them to contact careersunit@londondeanery.ac.uk to arrange this. 

It is possible for you to attend a workshop at a neighbouring trust (subject to places being available) please contact nicola.greaves@londondeanery.ac.uk if you would like to find out availability of places at the trust based workshops below.

Foundation Trust Based Careers Workshops

F1 Career Planning Workshop

This interactive group session aims to help trainees understand how they can make informed career decisions that will benefit them in their FY2 year and beyond. This is a two hour workshop with the opportunity for 1:1 sessions before or after the workshop in 15 minute bookable appointments. 

F2 Specialty Recruitment Workshop

This interactive group session builds on the reflection and research from workshops in the F1 year to confirm and show commitment to specialty choices and equips participants with the tools to build towards successful applications and interviews. This is a two hour workshop with the opportunity for 1:1 sessions before or after in 15 minute bookable appointments.

Interview Skills Workshop

This interactive session will provide participants with a structured framework for successful interview preparation and improved interview performance while giving practical strategies to successfully answer competency questions.  This is a two hour workshop.

The webinars will be facilitated by Caroline Elton, Head of Careers Advice and Planning at the London Deanery and the University of London Careers Group.
