Transitional Arrangements for London/KSS Deanery

Changes to the Arrangements for the Administration and Funding of Flexible Training

With effect from 1st April 2011, the London and KSS Deaneries will be solely responsible for the administration and funding of Flexible Training placements within their respective geographic boundaries, for all grades and specialties.

STs (Core and Higher) and SpRs for all Specialties

If you are currently in a London Trust and will be remaining in a London Trust, the process will not change for you.  If you already have an approved FTAF, you will not need to complete a new one until it expires, as usual. 

If you are in a KSS Trust and plan to train in a London Trust, you will need to apply to London Deanery no matter what your grade or specialty.

If you are in a London Trust and plan to train in a KSS Trust, you will need to apply to KSS Deanery no matter what your grade or specialty.

If you are in a KSS Trust and will be remaining in a KSS Trust, you will need to apply to KSS Deanery.  If you are in a KSS Trust and currently have approval from London for a post that lasts beyond 31st March 2011, please note that it will expire on 31st March and you need to contact KSS Deanery for the paperwork for 2011/2012.  Any new approval forms sent to us from mid-July 2010 onward for a KSS post will be forwarded to KSS Deanery.
