Quality and Committee Services is an integrated administrative Unit which:

• supports the development and implementation of the Deanery's Quality Management Strategy, under the overall leadership of Dr Diana Hamilton-Fairley, Lead on Quality and Dean of Secondary Care Specialties
• supports the Deanery's educational governance structure via the efficient and robust management of the Deanery's committee systems and quality management processes as detailed in the Quality Management Manual
• aims to provide assistance to all of the Deanery Schools and educational faculties in developing their educational governance structures
• provides expert support for the conduct of Deanery quality management visits to Local Education Providers
• manages external visits by GMC
• ensures the efficient administration of post approval with GMC
• provides support for the conduct of the GMC Survey
• works closely with other Deanery support departments to help achieve the Deanery's ambitions for excellence, in particular, Faculty Development, Medical Workforce and the Central Programme office
