When writing your application please ensure that your application outlines your skills and competencies, experience, knowledge and transferable skills in line with the requirements noted on the person specification.
Students expecting to gain NMC registration by September 2012 also have the opportunity to train as a health visitor or a school nurse.
Training can take one year full-time, two years part-time or three to six months on the HV return to practice course. It entails studying at university while also working as part of a specialist community nursing team within an NHS Trust. This allows you to put theory into practice and develop the skills that you need in order to take on this important role.
Those joining the programme will receive a funded university education and salary support provided by a NHS organisation in London. Those joining the HVRtP programme will receive a funded university education and a bursary provided by London Deanery.
Successful completion of the course will give you a degree-level qualification and NMC registration as a health visitor or specialist community public health nurse.
