1. I would like to add information to an application I have already submitted. Can I apply for this post again with the updated application?
No. If you have submitted an application you cannot make changes to it. If you have not yet submitted an application, then you can make as many changes to it as you need to, and you can change it as often as you wish. If you need to amend information that does not form part of the marking criteria after submission, such as your home address for example, then you can make a request to do this by emailing recruitmentenquiries@londondeanery.ac.uk with details of the change.
2. Can a candidate register and apply with one email address for a post then re-register with another email and apply for the same post again?
No. The system will identify that you have submitted a second application and it will be ignored.
3. I am not sure what information I need to put in the start date field? I am not available for this post until a future date. Will this have any impact on my application?
The start date is the earliest date you are able to take up the position, if offered. This will not affect the scoring of your application, although it may determine whether you can be appointed dependent on your reason for wishing to defer. We suggest you read the Gold Guide for details on deferrals.
4. Can I save an incomplete application and come back to it later?
Yes. You can return to your application as many times as you wish. Please make sure that you save your application before closing it.
5. I have registered but I have not received an acknowledgement email?
There may be a slight delay in the system sending out your email. If you have not received an email within 2 hours, please check that your email client or anti virus package is not filtering out the message or placing it directly into your junk email folder. If you still don’t receive an email contact recruitmentenquiries@londondeanery.ac.uk.
6. I have submitted my application but have not received an acknowledgement email?
There may be a slight delay in the system sending out your email. If you have not received an email within 2 hours, please check that your email client or anti virus package is not filtering out the message or placing it directly into your junk email folder. If you are waiting for an email about a submitted application you can log in to ‘’My application’ and select ‘Track application’ and this will show you whether your application has been successfully submitted. 7. I do not have 3 referees but I am not able to go to the next page without entering 3. How can I progress to the next page?
You do not have to enter 3 referees to be able to continue your application, but you must supply 3 referees before your application can be submitted. To continue your application, go to “My Applications”, select the application you are working on and select “Begin/continue application”. You will then see the list of application form sections and you can select whichever section you wish to complete.
8. Is there a spell check option?
No, this function is not currently available. We would strongly recommend that you create any long text answers in a word processing package, where you can check spelling, grammar and word count, and cut and paste this text into the answer box.
If you copy and paste, we advise you to check your application to ensure all words and formatting have copied and fit within the allocated space.
9. I have three forenames and would like to enter them all on the application form. Can I do so or is there a limit to how many names/characters I can enter?
There are a small number of fields in the personal details section that are subject to character limits, although these are set sufficiently high that they should not cause major problems
10. If I start to apply for this post before midday and finish shortly after noon on the closing date, will the system count down or allow me to submit after the cut off?
No, the system will not countdown to the closing time. The system will not allow you to submit an application after the closing time. The website will display reminder information about application closing times by means of a “News Ticker” which will appear at the top of each page.
11. I have forgotten my password?
Please select the “Password Reminder” option and enter your registration email address. The system will check that this is a valid registration email address and send an email containing your password.
12. I have forgotten my password and the system has locked me out?
If you are locked out of your account, the system will send you an email saying that you have been locked out. It will then shortly send you a second email with a temporary password that you can use to access your account. Please note, this temporary password is only valid for 24 hours and you must log in before this time and create a new password. If you do not do so, your account will be locked again and you will need to contact recruitmentenquiries@londondeanery.ac.uk to have it unlocked.
13. I have forgotten my email address can you please provide me with it?
We are unable to provide you with the email address with which you believe to have registered on the system. You may try to enter the email which you think you registered with to request a password reset on the log-in page at https://recruitment.londondeanery.ac.uk/Logon.asp if this is the email address with which you registered , you should be sent a new password. You may then try logging in.
If however a new password is not sent to the e-mail address you used, this indicates that the address used is not registered on our system. You can then register again using this e-mail address and commence your application.
