Trust LAT Recruitment
Trusts recruiting to a LAT post are advised that all appointments must be advertised through open competition and in conjunction with requirements of the Gold Guide and those issued by NHS employers.
A Trust may ask the Deanery to recruit to a LAT at any time throughout the year, but no later than 10 working days before the advert is due to be placed. Approval will be granted if all the required information has been submitted on the “Trust Application to Recruit LATs” form and if the post is available for the specified amount of time.
Key Requirements for Trusts:
1. To advertise in accordance with London Deanery requirements.
2. To ensure that all requested information is submitted to the Deanery at the point of request.
3. To screen applicants’ fitness to practice and criminal conviction declarations.
4. To ensure that appropriately constituted and trained panels undertake selection.
5. To provide accurate information on appointments and supporting documentation for appointees in a timely fashion.
Further information is available in the document at the top right of this page entitled 'Process for recruiting to a LAT'.
